Thank you to all TRC members who came to the very enjoyable and SUNNY Working Hunter afternoon at Bailey Farm. Tommy Vance set a lovely course which rode as good as it looked, our last minute stand in judges of Anwen Griffiths and Judith Allen did a sterling job and committee members Jane Griffiths, Wendy Roberts, Sarah Lewis and Chia James ran the office and refreshment side of the operation THANK YOU ALL :)

Sun shines on Starlight show.
The weather was glorious for our first Winter League of 2018. We had a good turnout of members and visitors with some lovely horses in the showing and some very beautiful dressage tests.
Many thanks go to John Fletcher for judging the showing classes ably Stewarded by Jenny Linfoot – who was also responsible for dishing out the refreshments all day…..Dressage Judges Anna Wilshaw and Karen James with writers Muriel Gill, Judith Allen and Sarah Lewis respectively….scorers Petra and Chia James and Muriel….. door keepers Muriel and Judith and to all you wonderful people who made the fabulous cakes for us to scoff.
Also a big thank you to Starlight for providing such a wonderful venue.

Starlight showing and dressage December 3rd 2017

The day started with the Christmas Fancy Dress and Judge Julia Morris could not decide between Santa’s Little Helpers…such a lot of effort had gone into both costumes….so she gave Poppy and Bella with Inky and Jane with Wheedle first prize each. The part-bred saw Tracy and Jilly’s Golden Charm take the honours, whilst in the pure-bred class the ridden winner was Hannah Warren with Sec C Penstrumbly Mary Poppins and the lead rein winner was Poppy Vaughan and Section A Inky. On to the Riding club horse or pony and once again Hannah and the gorgeous Poppins took the honours. In the Dressage the Intro Queen was Eelri Davies and her lovely Section D Fronarth Lucinda…and Junior section winner Harriet Davis with Olly. The Prelim 2 went to Dressage Diva Poppins as did the Prelim 7…and Petra James took the Novice 24 with the highest 5 of the day with Cariad and an amazing score of 79.56%.
Jane Griffiths took the ROR rosette for the highest points of the day on Wheedle.
Muriel also presented Ian Morgan with the Appreciation Trophy.
